Information about the geography of Peru
In Peru the western coastal plains are separated from the eastern lowland jungle of the Amazon Basin by the high Andes. Peru shares control of Lake Titicaca, world's highest navigable lake, with Bolivia, at 3821 m.

Lima is the capital city. Other important cities are Arequipa, Callao, Trujillo, and Chiclayo. Major Rivers include the Maranon, Huallaga, Ucayali and the Amazon. Highest point: 6768 m Huascaran
