Argentina is located in South America, being bordered by Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Brazil, Uruguay and the South Atlantic Ocean.
Argentina's terrain consists of plains (the Pampas), flat to rolling plateau (Patagonia) and rugged mountains (the Andes). Major rivers are the Parana, Paraguay and Uruguay rivers.
Standing at 6962 metres, Aconcagua in Argentina is the highest mountain in the Southern Hemisphere and on the South American continent as well.
Buenos Aires is the capital city and a major port. Cordoba is the second largest city. Other ports include Bahia Blanca, Deseado, Rosario and Santa Fe.
