Sierra Leone is located in Western Africa on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean bordered by Liberia and
Guinea.
The landscape is characterized by mangrove swamps on the coastline, plateaus and mountains in the northeast of the country.
Highest peak is Loma Mansa rising to 1948 meters above sea level.
Major rivers are Rokel, Jong, Sewa, Great and Little Scarcies, Moa and Moro, all emptying to the Atlantic.
Freetown is the capital city, other major cities include Sefadu, Bo, Falaba, Kukuna, Shenge, Kenema and Makeni.
