Namibia is located in the southern section of the
African continent, on the
Atlantic coast.
Namibia has five important geographical areas: the Central Plateau, the
Namib Desert, the Kalahari Desert, the Caprivi Strip, and the Kaokoveld.
Principal rivers are the
Okawango, Kunene, Oilfants, Vis, Orange.
Windhoek is the country's capital, other important cities include Karasburg, Keetmanshoop, Lüderitz, Walvis Bay, Gobabis, Grootfontein, Rundu, Katima Mulilo.
Namibia is bordered by the
Atlantic Ocean on the west,
Angola and
Zambia on the north,
Botswana on the east, and
South Africa on the south.
