Eritrea is located in Eastern Africa on the
Horn of Africa.
The country is bordered by the Red Sea,
Ethiopia,
Sudan and
Djibouti.
Amba Soira is the country's highest point at 3015 meters above sea level.
The capital city is
Asmara. Other important cities are Keren, Asseb, Massawa and Kerora.
The
Dahlak Archipelago and part of the Hanish Islands in the
Red Sea belong to Eritrea as well.
