Albania is divided into twelve first level administrative regions, called counties.
The twelve counties are: Berat, Dibër, Durrës, Elbasan, Fier, Gjirokastër, Korçë, Kukës, Lezhë, Shkodër, Tirana and Vlorë.

Tirana, the major cities are Durrës, Elbasan, Shëngjin, Bajram Curri, Shkodër, Gjirokastër, Vlorë and Korçë.
