The Swiss Confederation is divided into 26 cantons.
The 26 cantons namely:
Aargau, Appenzell Ausserrhoden, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Basel-City, Basel-Country, Bern, Fribourg, Geneva, Glarus, Graubünden, Jura, Lucerne, Neuchâtel, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Schaffhausen, Schwyz, Solothurn, St. Gallen, Thurgau, Ticino, Uri, Valais, Vaud, Zug, Zürich.
There are also two enclaves in Switzerland:
Büsingen, near Schaffhausen that belongs to
Germany, and
Campione d'Italia in vicinity of Lugano that belongs to
Italy.
Bern is the capital of Switzerland, while the largest city is Zürich. Other major cities include Lugano, Geneva, Davos, Basel, Lausanne.
